Narcan Incantations gathers poems of love and rage, insurrectionary desire and cavernous grief. They transmute despair into spells and songs that aim to “break the cell of the self.” Restless at the sites where intimate experience crashes into the capitalist machine, the poems orbit as temporal ruptures, entangling yesterday’s revolutionary failures with the ongoing work of care and harm reduction and with the potential for new forms of living and relating. Dirty, rhythmic, and raw, these incantations transmit the charge of a world unraveling.
